(3) Prerequisites or co-requisite: Native or near native fluency in English and completion of FREN 2202 3201 or 3202, GERM 2202 3201 or 3202, JAPN 2202 3201, RUSS 2202 3201, SPAN 2202 3201, 3202, or 3203, or the equivalent, with grade of C or above; or corequisite: any 3000-level course in the target language; or permission of department. History, theory, pragmatics, and procedures of the field of translation. Introduction to text typology, terminology, and issues such as register, audience, editing, and computer-assisted translating.
