FINN 3273. Property and Casualty. (3) Prerequisite: INFO 2130, Junior standing, business major or permission of the department. Involves an analysis of the needs of business and individuals for property and casualty insurance and the nature of available coverage. An examination of property and casualty insurance products is included, emphasizing the study of case law, the use of contracts and contract language underwriting procedures, actuarial science, reinsurance, accounting, non-insurance risk transfer, and claims handling.
