MUPF Major Requirements (both concentrations):

• MUPF 11xx: Primary Ensemble (1 semester beyond those required in the Core Music Curriculum) (MUPF 1110, MUPF 1112, MUPF 1113, MUPF 1115, MUPF 1120, MUPF 1121, MUPF 1122, MUPF 1123, MUPF 1155, MUPF 1160, or MUPF 1168)
• MUPF 11xx: Secondary Ensemble (8 semesters) (MUPF 1110-MUPF 1175)
• MUPF 32xx: Advanced Applied Music (1 semester beyond those required in the Core Music Curriculum) (MUPF 3240-3259)
• MUSC 2101: Introduction to Music Business
• MUSC 2151: Introduction to Music Technology
• MUSC 3130: Counterpoint [replaced in the curriculum with MUSC 2290 and MUSC 4294]
• MUSC 3134: Fundamentals of Conducting
• MUSC 3300: Advanced Recital & Concert Attendance (1 semester beyond those required in the Core Music Curriculum)
• MUSC 4230:  Form and Analysis[replaced in the curriculum with MUSC 4294]
• MUSC 4231: Post-Tonal Processes[replaced in the curriculum with MUSC 4296]
• Improvisation orArranging (MUSC 2235 or MUSC 4235)
• An additional course in either business or technology, to be selected from the following:

• ENTR 2010: introduction to Entrepreneurship

• MUSC 3 151: Accompanying for Non-Pianists
• MUSC 4137: Vocal Pedagogy
• Second Foreign Language (through the 1202 level)

MUPF-BM Instrumental Music Concentration Requirements (instrumental concentration only):

• MUSC 1237: Class Voice
• MUSC 3136: Instrumental Conducting
• MUSC413x: Pedagogy
• Electives (12 hours)
