Summary
MUPF majors are currently required to take Introduction to Music Business (MUSC 2101), Introduction to Music Technology (MUSC 2151), and one additional course in Business or Technology. Currently, these options are limited to Introduction to Entrepreneurship (ENTR 2101), Fundamental Recording Techniques (MUSC 2271), and Music Internship (MUSC 3410). The addition of Audio Engineering Practicum would provide another opportunity for students to meet a degree requirement while gaining valuable experience with music technology.
Catalog Copy
No changes to the catalog are necessary. This will, however, require a change to the CAPP system to show that MUSC 1403 is a business/technology option for MUPF majors.
