MSCI 1000. Physical Fitness. (1) Military Fitness provides a program focused on muscular strength, muscular endurance, and aerobic endurance.  The weekly classes provide students with opportunities for strenuous physical activity and also serve as examples of exercise routines that students can adopt as personal workout plans.  The class provides a basic understanding of Army Physical Training and improves upon the leadership dynamic of participants.  Progress is graded using the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) and leadership traits.  Students must be able to participate in normal college physical education program and must obtain a physician's signature or a "Medical Fitness Statement" provided by the Military Science Department at the beginning of the semester.
