ARTT 3190 - Digital Photography


Credit Hours: (3)

Exploration of the technical and aesthetic parameters unique to digital photography. An emphasis on color theory and the exploration of color photography as a means of creative personal expression. Forms of input and output will be discussed along with advanced applications of Adobe Photoshop.

Prerequisite(s): Art major; grade of C or above in ARTT 2191 and ARTM 2105.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Six contact hours.

 

ARTT 3191 - Camera and Light


Credit Hours: (3)

Principles and practices of small, medium or large format photography, in conjunction with available and studio lighting techniques. Emphasis on personal expression.

Prerequisite(s): Art major; grade of C or above in ARTB 1201 and ARTT 2191.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Six contact hours.

 

ARTT 3195 - Documentary Photography and Video Visual Narrative


Credit Hours: (3)

Examines the nature of photographic documents, considering their sociological, anthropological, and artistic qualities. Students are required to study the history and criticism of documentation and to make a document incorporating historical information and contemporary concerns.

Prerequisite(s): Art major; grade of C or above in ARTT 2191.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Six contact hours.

 

ARTT 3391 - Black and White Printing


Credit Hours: (3)

Continuation of ARTT 2191 with emphasis on contemporary methods, approaches and techniques in silver printing used as a means of creative personal expression.

Prerequisite(s): Art major; grade of C or above in ARTB 1201, ARTT 2191 and ARTA 3201, 3202, or 3203.
