Elective Courses

Students in the Ph.D. in Counseling are required to choose two required elective courses in the completion of their doctoral curriculumprogram. Electives may be any CSLG course in the 7000-8999 range or RSCH 7000-8999.  Electives other than these may be selected with the approval of the doctoral advisory committee.  These are most commonly taken within the Counseling curriculum but may be taken in other departments as long as the courses are designated at the 8000 level. Courses at the 7000 level can be taken only if they are not cross-listed at the 8000 level.
