PHYS 1000. New Student Seminar. (1) Prerequisite: Permission of department and Student must be a declared Physics major. An introduction to the different disciplines within physics, professional opportunities available to physics majors in industry and academia, research interests of the department, and opportunities for student research in the department. Graded on a Pass/No Credit basis. This class is required for all physics majors. Students will give a talk about physics to their peers and complete a plan of study for their undergraduate degree.
